Brick Night

When: May to September, Tuesday nights at 6:30pm
Location varies.

For those of you who are wondering whether that involves working out with real bricks, rest assured, it is not. Check out the Safe and fun brick nights on the Tips page.

Endurance Rides - Road

When: spring, summer, fall - weather dependent

These informal rides are for the purpose of building stamina on the bike and include distances beginning at 50km and continuing upwards of 100-150km. Normally, these rides are held on the Aspotogan Penninsula and number 318 highway (Montebello/Waverley Road).

Lake/Ocean Swims

When: late spring through early fall - weather dependent

Regular club swims move from the pool to the lakes, sometime in late spring or early summer, depending on weather and lake temperature. Wetsuits can be worn, unless the heat presents a health risk.

Organized ocean swims are held 2-3 times, during the summer months.

Pool Swims

When: Fall, Winter and Spring

Mondays and Wednesdays: 8:00pm to 9:00 pm

Centennial Pool

 

Swim fees collected separately from HTC membership.

Pool Swims - Long Course

When: monthly sessions during winter - 7:45 am - 8:45 am

During the winter months, occasional "long-course" pool swims are organized at Centennial Pool. These swim sessions allow members to use the entire 50m length of the pool, as the bulkhead is removed for these events.  These sessions are free!!

Track Workouts

When: various times during winter

Track workout sessions are a chance to hone running technique and skills. These sessions include tips on strengthening and conditioning running muscles as well as increasing your speed and endurance.

Trail Biking

When: various times over fall and winter - weather dependent

These are informal group rides, organized as weather permits, over the fall and winter. Members break out their mountain bikes or hybrids, and hit trails throughout the HRM, such as the BLT, Salt Marsh Trail, Rails to Trails, and the Shubie Park trail system. Trail ride distances are normally 20-40 kms long.
